Get started with your campfire player
The Campfire Player is a purpose-built device, with the goal of providing hours of music playback that leverages the modern streaming services we all know and love.
Here’s how to get up and running quickly with your new player:
Unbox and Charge: players sometimes discharge throughout the shipping process, so be sure to plug your player with the provided charger or cable for a few hours to make sure the battery is topped off.
Turn on the player: Using the single button on the right side of the player, press and hold for at least 10 seconds until you see the startup screen appear.
Device navigation: Swiping up from the bottom allows you access all apps and settings on the device. Swiping down from the top gives you access to quick settings, like wifi, sound, etc. The three buttons on the bottom of the screen let you go back (left arrow), return home (circle) and browse open apps (square).
Set up wifi: To connect to your preferred streaming service, you will need to set up the device on your wifi network. Please keep in mind, the Campfire Player uses the 2.4Ghz wifi band to maximize compatibility with all wifi networks, so if you have a new wifi network in your home that merges all wifi standards together, you may need to make some changes to it to get the player to connect properly. Connect to the app store: Swiping up from the bottom of the screen and opening the App Store will allow you to install additional apps on the device.
Set up apps and download content: Once you have your desired apps installed, login or create accounts and download all of the content you or your child will want for offline use at camp. Keep in mind each app has slightly different requirements for offline use, so be sure to visit the website for the app and review their instructions.*
*Please note you will not be able to sign up for premium service form our device. For most apps, this needs to be done on a computer.
